“Endeavor” is a big, hairy, high performing son of the “4013” bull that excels for an array of traits. The growth in his progeny is legitimate, while also incorporating carcass merit and maternal strength. 9H is big bodied, bold ribbed and fully pigmented out of a larger framed “Umpire” daughter. Considering his weight per day of age, he still arrived at a modest 86 lbs. His genetic predictions read as strong as any option in the offering.

A long bodied, level designed, sound structured “Mr. Canada” son out of a beautiful “All Star” daughter-who along with her dam were the first females picked in our Phantom Creek cow purchase. This bull weighed among the heaviest group at weaning, while being slightly younger in age. The refinement of udder, milk and maternal strength of this bull should be among the strongest we can offer.

We think the combination of structural integrity, quality, performance, pigment and maternal strength make this bull intriguing. He is engaging from the profile, flexible on the move and couples the muscle and center body dimension indicative of his “Umpire” sired dam. This calf is younger as well, but should offer as much performance as any of the older bulls as he continues to mature.

One of two “4013” sons, “Trajectory” was among the heaviest at weaning and really accumulated performance through the fall. He is big and bold ribbed, hairy, large testicled and fully pigmented. His dam is a more moderate framed “Zircon” daughter that appears to milk well, maintains superior udder quality and has produced a strong pair of calves in her initial efforts for us. Like his paternal brother, the multi-trait genetic excellence he offers is uncommon.

A “Morebody” son that possesses similarities to both his parents in regard to extra skeletal extension, performance, balance and potentially larger mature frame. He is laid in correct at his shoulder, flexible on the move and still muscular when viewed from behind. His dam is youthful, correct and has an exceptionally well designed udder. This calf should inject payweight to a set of calves and leave strong, maternally driven replacements.

HORNED
CHA Number: C03076895

“Vaunted” is one of two ¾ brothers out of the “Cowcamp” bull from Ned & Jan Ward. Our herd has a heavy “88X” influence for a variety of reasons and this son did an excellent job for us on a large group of heifers. We have never had a bull calve in such a narrow, conservative range for birth weight. Like his paternal sibs, “Vaunted” is dark red, short marked, muscular, attractive and especially bold in his upper ribcage. Calving ease is built in as well from the “Famous” influence of his dam.

Lot 9 - BIG-GULLY 7348 GRIDIRON 230H

“Gridiron” is a power and performance option sired by “7348” from Colyer Herefords. This calf is long sided, heavy structured, big testicled and appears to have extra spread to his pins and width at his stifle. With that extra performance and mass, he is still attractively designed. His dam is still attractive and productive as an aged female and has a level udder and great balance.

“Pinnacle” is the other 3/4 brother out of “Cowcamp” and whose footnotes read virtually identical to his brother. He is really bold in how his ribcage comes out of his spine, has plenty of muscle from behind and compliments that mass with an attractive look and big red eyes. He should mate with heifers effectively and easily offer replacement female potential, without sacrificing mass and muscle for a heifer bull.

“Legitimate” has probably developed as rapidly lately as any. He is attractive, level designed, sound structured and big bodied. We really like our “5001” progeny for their structure, youthfulness, versatility and outstanding udder quality. His dam is correct structured with an ideal udder and consistently breeds up early.

“Vintage” is a moderate, deep bodied, heavy structured son of “Frontier” from Mrnak Hereford Ranch. “Frontier” had one of our largest sire groups and has added a notch more scale and performance, along with center body dimension and a look that we think should mesh with commercial cattleman. The dam of “Vintage” is a big ribbed, excellent uddered female who easily maintains condition and transmits dimension.

Probably the standout of our calf crop from pasture turnout to current time is “Statesman”. We think the physical build in combining growth, masculinity, center body dimension, muscle, balance and structural integrity is relatively unique. Just as exciting, his dam is excellent uddered and productive with a convincing multi-trait genetic profile. “Statesman” is mid-February born, but generated the most weight of any at weaning. We would like to retain in-herd semen rights on this bull.

Another “Frontier” son that we think should have commercial appeal because he is big ribbed, long bodied, level designed, correct structured and hairy. His conservative sized dam is excellent uddered, youthful and attractive. “Heritage” should offer mating versatility to generate both pounds and strong potential replacements in a set of commercial calves.

“Dignified” should produce excellent females, considering his dam is a “Ribeye 2011” daughter-the most productive sire group of females in production currently. The udder quality and milking ability is impressive, yet the females are sensibly sized and maintain their body condition. “Dignified” is long, level designed, smooth shouldered and correct structured. These “Frontier” calves are very consistent and hopefully develop exceptional scrotal, similar to their sire.

A high quality son of “Special Edition” that came out reasonable at birth and has grown quickly since. “Paradigm” is uniformly deep from forerib to flank, skeletally extended, flexible in his lower joints and hairy. His dam is a big ribbed female that consistently moderates birth weight, yet transmits mass and look. “Paradigm” is masculine fronted and should be versatile enough to cover several breeding objectives from calving ease to performance and maternal.

We think this ET calf out of the dual Supreme Champion”54D” bull is complete and high quality. His combination of balance, structure, performance, body and muscle is pretty unique coupled with maternal merit. The “International 54D” progeny consistently resemble each other in regards to an attractive look, extra center body dimension and a square build off their rear skeleton. This son is high and correct in his neck/shoulder attachment, remains strong down his back, is big ribbed and travels with ideal flex in his lower joints.

Lot 18 - BIG GULLY STUNNER 529H

This “Stunner” son is attractively designed due to his length of body, strength of top, growth and structure. His dam is a moderate, broody, big bodied female that is muscular and easily maintains body ccondition. Another powerful “Frontier” son this is bold centered, stout hipped and wide based with broad testicles. His neck shoulder attachment, strength of top, center body dimension and hip/hind leg set are what appeal most to us. He shares a big ribbed, easy fleshing, excellent uddered dam to one of the bull calves in the offering. The “Walk Off” cattle were typically born very easily with modest birth weights.

I distinctly remember this calf being born for two reasons. He had extra pigment and color with red wrapping up one side of his head. Secondly, he came out so light at birth, but with standout vigor. He is long sided, sound moving and correct in his shoulder and joint angles. The maternal strength of his pedigree is among the best we can offer, coupled with calving ease. A maternal brother is one of the standout bull calves.

This bull came out very light at birth on a first calf heifer with plenty of milk and really refined teat length and diameter. “Prevail” has always garnered our attention for the boldness with which his rib comes out of his spine and how deep ribbed he appears. Cattle similar to him typically maintain condition easily in production. Moreover, he is muscular and square out of his hip and hind leg.
