2012 Nebraska Cattleman's Classic Supreme Champion. GREAT DIVIDE is short-marked, stout and high performing. His impressive growth spread includes an actual birth weight of 76 pounds and an adjusted weaning weight of 860. His progeny differences for calving ease, birth weight and marbling should certainly be assets to our program.

“HOWETOWN” was utilized in a flush and on a few females via AI.  Growth spread, milking ability, udder quality, center body dimension, scrotal circumference and marbling capability would be among the top reasons we incorporated “10Y” in our breeding program.  He has been very popular for siring cattle that come out modest sized, yet grow rapidly with a quality appearance and noticeable pigment.  Genetically, “10Y” covers the bases with superior maternal, performance and carcass predictions.

“CATAPULT” was incorporated by AI for the muscle shape, center body dimension, skeletal quality and structural integrity that he has consistently transmitted.  Lactating daughters of “CATAPULT” appear very maternal in regards to udder quality, soundness and female character.  His growth spread and milk predictions match our selection criteria and the quality progeny he has sired in so many American herds convinced us to use him and a couple direct sons.

We will breed OLD SCHOOL to a group of cows and heifers based on his superior genetic profile and phenotypic  excellence.  He should transmit power, skeletal quality, rib shape and maternal strength to a set of progeny.  His sire, CRR 719 CATAPULT 109, is siring cattle with a great combination of economically important traits.  A full brother was part of the 2015 National Western Champion Pen of 3 Bulls.

We purchased semen on 50 SHADES, from owner Double J Polled Herefords and Holmes Farms, and will be excited to utilize him via AI in the spring of 2016.  The maternal excellence of REVOLUTION and P606 on the topside of his pedigree combined with the power and performance of his maternal pedigree strike a unique tandem that should prove beneficial to our breeding objectives.  Phenotypically, 50 SHADES is a long sided, high performing bull with a convincing look from the profile and terrific structural integrity.  Moreover, he is big topped, wide based and well advanced in his scrotal development relative to age.

We saw “Robin Hood H38” at Days Whiteface during our trip to South Australia and were very impressed with this Homozygous POLLED sires characteristics.  His frame scores equates to our breeding intentions, while his body dimension, muscle shape, structure and balance were strengths also.  His progeny, both bulls and heifers, were consistently muscular, big ribbed, sound and attractive.  Within Australia, his genetic predictions for growth, ribeye area, scrotal and gestation length are impressive.  Moreover, the eye pigment and dark color demanded in their country will transfer well here.  The dam is an aged cow that is still powerful and bold ribbed, yet conservative framed and sound considering her age.  “Robin Hood” was Junior and Grand Champion at the Adelaide 2013 show, while also Junior and Grand Champion at the Melbourne 2013 show.

We were fortunate to purchase the remaining “MR. CANADA” Canadian semen in the WLB Livestock Hereford Dispersal.  We believe “MR. CANADA” will be a useful Homozygous Polled addition considering his exceptional pigment, structural integrity, body dimension and balance.  Moreover, his aged dam has been highly prolific and maintained exceptional udder quality late in her productive life.

We purchased a semen package on “6049” from Perez Cattle Company to be utilized for the 2018 breeding season. “6049” has impressive structure, balance and muscle shape with tremendous maternal value incorporated throughout his pedigree.  His dam “457Y” is a powerful, attractive past Agribition Champion as a bred heifer.  The influence of “Hutton” should ensure calving ease, udder quality and body dimension.  He ranks at the top of the Hereford breed for performance, udder quality, scrotal and ribeye area.
